Alan brings in over 35 years of professional accounting experience and a long-standing reputation for trusted, hands-on client service. His work focuses on accounting, tax planning, and management advisory services for privately owned companies, high-net-worth individuals, and closely held family businesses.

Strategic tax and advisory services

Alan advises clients across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, service, retail, health care, real estate, and construction. He provides practical guidance in business restructuring, succession planning, financing, long-range planning, and systems improvement. His approach centers on helping clients control costs, improve profitability, and strengthen the value of their businesses over time.

Throughout his career, Alan has been involved in numerous transactions representing clients who sell their businesses to publicly traded companies. He is especially focused on helping business owners make informed decisions that support both business value and personal wealth. His tax strategies are designed with the full client picture in mind, balancing technical accuracy with clear, practical advice.

A legacy of personal service and community commitment

Before joining RRBB, Alan served as CEO of Offit & Roth, P.A., a firm with roots dating back more than 60 years. The firm was built on the vision of his father-in-law, Sylvan Offit, whose belief in personalized, expert service shaped its client-first culture. Alan joined the firm in 1972, became a partner in 1979, and later helped lead its strategic reorganization to preserve its high-touch service model while investing in advanced tax and accounting technology.

Alan’s leadership reflects the same belief that guided Offit & Roth from the beginning: clients deserve responsive, thoughtful advice from professionals who know them well. That focus on personal attention, technical excellence, and long-term relationships continues to guide Alan’s work at RRBB.

Outside the office, Alan has spent over 19 years coaching and developing youth athletic programs. For over 20 years, he has also served as treasurer for multiple nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as treasurer of the Baltimore Tennis Patrons and the Sports Boosters of Maryland.
