Jenifer Mendieta, an Audit Associate in the RRBB Assurance Department, was selected by the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA) to serve as a Student Ambassador.

Jenifer said, “I was on the opposite end of the NJCPA Student Ambassador program. So, I am happy to now have the opportunity to help others navigate that same path.”

“Our student ambassadors are highly valued. We are grateful for their support of the accounting profession and for getting the message out there about the many resources we have available at the NJCPA,” said Ralph Albert Thomas, CPA (DC), CGMA, CEO and Executive Director at the NJCPA.

About the NJCPA Student Ambassador Program

The NJCPA Student Ambassador Program chooses outstanding student members from several New Jersey colleges and universities to spread the word to other accounting students about the benefits of an NJCPA membership. Responsibilities also include recruiting NJCPA student members, attending career fairs, and reaching out to undecided students to promote the accounting profession. Additionally, Jen will be a resource for accounting clubs and Beta Alpha Psi chapters, which opens the door for other NJCPA members. For more information, visit njcpa.org.

About Jenifer Mendieta

Jenifer focuses her practice on conducting audit tests to verify the fair representation of client financial statements. She is able to communicate with clients to identify issues and propose the appropriate solutions. Consequently, along with the RRBB team, Jenifer can complete an audit in a timely and efficient manner.

A resident of Elizabeth, Jenifer enjoys giving back to her community. Therefore, she serves as a math tutor and mentor to middle school-aged children preparing for high school at the Kenilworth Public Library. Jenifer was the recipient of a $6,500 college scholarship, provided by the NJCPA. To be eligible for the scholarship, nominees must write an essay, have a qualifying GPA, and undergo an interview. Of the 131 applications, there were a total of 39 scholarship awardees.

Jenifer received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University, sum cum laude, in 2022. However, she is currently continuing her education toward a Master of Business Administration degree from Kean University.
